A Modern Date Centre: how to pack more fibres on a smaller surface.

Poland’s Date Centre market is growing very dynamically. According to PMR report, the total gross surface of data processing centres can grow by as much as 75,000 m² to 200,000 m² by 2025.

Forecasts for the entire CPD market show that the average annual growth rate will be in the area of 14%, nearly doubling the value of the market from PLN 1.9 billion to PLN 4.2 billion.

The higher market growth results from the higher importance of cloud computing, managed services, added services, cybersecurity and business continuity compared to the service, i.e. collocation.

Investors are faced with ever new challenges. Strong emphasis is put on security, with an increased interest in Tier/Rated certification.

Investors are also becoming increasingly more aware: they expect placing large amounts of fibres on a small surface, flexible network reconfiguration and expansion capacity, as well as connection stability and maintenance of constant and high transmission parameters.

The growing needs and addition of more connections can generate problems that may ultimately lead to data transmission outages. It is advisable to take steps to minimise such a risk at the very beginning.
