Continuous growth of demand for Data Centers

Businesses are generating more and more data, and the pandemic has only accelerated digitization in many enterprises. Demand for data center services is at a record high.

Technology analyst and research company Gartner predicts that global spending on data center services will increase by 11.4 percent in 2022, to $226 billion. What are the main conclusions of this forecast?

✅ Telecom operators will introduce new services.
✅ There will be new Hyperscale data centers but also smaller ones critical to the development of 5G networks.
✅ Increased confidence in cloud technologies due to the guarantee of security and fast data availability.

Wi-Fi 6 – the new, better generation of Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) is a milestone in the evolution of wireless networks, where data transfer optimisations have been introduced. Devices supporting this standard are increasingly appearing on the market.

What should you know about Wi-Fi 6?
✅ Wi-Fi 6 devices easily reach gigabit speeds, due in part to the use of 1024 QAM modulation.
✅ Expand the ability to support multiple devices without interference, thanks to 8×8 MU-MIMO transmission.
✅ By using OFDMA technology, you can better utilise the available bandwidth and gain lower latency in data transmission.
✅ Target-Wakeup Time (TWT) mode reduces the power consumption of devices.
✅ If needed, Wi-Fi 6-enabled devices successfully operate in networks based on older standards.

What’s the conclusion? If you are currently planning a network upgrade, it is worth using devices supporting the new standard, which will guarantee better network performance and efficiency.

SD-WAN – modern data communication network.

SD-WAN (Software-defined Wide Area Network) is a WAN architecture that enables the use of existing transport services, i.e. MPLS, LTE, symmetrical or asymmetrical Internet, to connect users and use cloud applications.

What are the main advantages of SD-WAN?

✅High level of security thanks to transmission encryption and infrastructure based on NGFW devices.
✅Flexibility as a result of optimised use of network resources and the possibility to create hybrid networks.
✅Reliability by prioritising critical applications and using backup links.
✅Simplicity of management through the use of a centralised controller.
✅Easy integration into existing corporate infrastructure without having to replace existing network solutions.

FCA’s partner in the SD-WAN technology is Forcepoint, an American provider of solutions aimed at protecting customers’ critical data and Extreme Networks, a global provider of solutions essential for building LANs.

GPON technology – passive networks that are growing in strength.

GPON optical network (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) is one of the variants of passive optical network, which is becoming increasingly popular. It guarantees a fast and secure connection to the Internet.

GPON fibre networks are currently undergoing an evolution.

The global situation caused by COVID has reinforced the need for a stronger telecommunications infrastructure. Current solutions are no longer sufficient. New generations of GPON networks, i.e. 25G PON, 50G PON and even 100G PON, will respond to the constant increase in demand for more network capacity and faster connection.

What are the advantages of GPON technology?
✅ Transmission speeds of up to 100 Gbps.
✅ Flexible expandability and easy network upgrades.
✅ Possibility of sending and receiving large data resources.
✅ Lack of active elements (requiring power supply).
