One connector, multiple benefits
MTP® is a connector designed for high-density environments. Its design provides innovative features, increased precision and capacity and proven reliability. The fibre standard of MTP® connectors can be easily identified by the colour of the cable and housing. It finds its application in 10G, 40G, 100G and 400G networks.
Plug design
MTP® connectors have a high grade ferrule (MT). They are mostly available as 8-, 12- or 24-fibre with flat or angled polishing.
Parameters
The excellent quality of MTP® connectors guarantees stable transmission. These connectors are characterised by low attenuation (IL typical: 0.1; IL max.: 0.35dB).
Construction
MTP® connectors are available with round cable or ribbon cable (taking up less space). Patchcords can take the form of trunk, fan-out or can be mounted in Helios cassettes.
MTP® connectors in FCA production
At FCA, we have our own MTP® connector termination line. Thanks to this line, we can react faster and better prepare for the development of the telecommunications market, especially Data Centres.
MTP® connectors in the Helios hybrid chassis
Helios is FCA's proprietary solution for maintaining order in the Data Centre infrastructure. It enables the installation of MTP® connectors and thus the maximum number of fibres to be packed in one place.
